Paints & Paddles: Dates July 11 – 13, 2025
Embark on a weekend of adventure and creativity with our immersive Nature-Inspired Art & Adventure Workshop – Paints & Paddles! Join us Friday through Sunday for a transformative experience, where you’ll explore the breathtaking beauty of nature while learning to paint landscapes on wood palettes and reconnecting with your artistic spirit.
Start your weekend by settling in and meeting fellow participants in our cozy intro circle, where you’ll share what brought you here. Saturday, we will explore the area from the water, taking in all the views while filling our adventure bucket with whitewater rafting on the Upper Red Deer River. Supper will be curated by Fence & Post, a local farm to table restaurant, that has worked to provide fine dining in a rustic setting for us. This will be followed by our first of two times dedicated to the art workshop.
Led by adventure artist Amanda Reber, this hands-on workshop will teach you how to capture the beauty of nature using a limited palette- allowing you to mix rich, vibrant colours from just a few pigments.
On Sunday, let your creative juices flow as Amanda Reber guides you through an immersive art workshop where you will create your own nature inspired landscape on locally sourced wood slices.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just getting started, this weekend will refresh your creative senses and spark inspiration. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels- from beginners to intermediate painters. Amanda will guide you through techniques for painting natural scenes and help develop your eye for colour, light, and composition.
